“Ordet always makes me cry, every single time I watch it. It’s a film about faith, about the sacred, a subject that interests me more than anything else. Form and spirit go together in every frame, and it’s very courageous. I wrote my thesis about it, and now a book I’ve been working on for a long time, about Cinema and the Sacred, is being published in Argentina. Everything started when I saw this film. Nowadays no one believes in miracles anymore, but this film has a moment that always makes me say, ‘I believe!’. For many years in my research I tried to understand how it’s possible to access another world through cinema”

“Ordet – La Parola mi fa piangere sempre, tutte le volte che lo vedo. È un film sulla fede, sul sacro, un argomento che mi interessa come nessun altro. Forma e spirito vanno insieme, in ogni inquadratura, ed è molto coraggioso. Ho scritto la mia tesi su questo e adesso in Argentina sta uscendo un libro al quale sto lavorando da molto, su Cinema e Sacro, e tutto nasce da quando ho visto questo film. Al giorno d’oggi nessuno crede più ai miracoli, ma questo film ha un momento che mi fa sempre dire: ‘Io ci credo!’. Per tanti anni durante la mia ricerca ho cercato di capire come sia possibile conoscere un altro mondo attraverso il cinema”
