Eyes Wide Shut (1999)
“La prima volta che l’ho visto ero a Praia, in Calabria, dove andavo solitamente in vacanza con i miei genitori. Era l’estate del 1999, avevo 15 anni e il film era vietato ai minori di 16, però sono riuscito ad entrare con un amico più grande, mentendo sulla mia età. È il film che mi ha cambiato la vita, dopo averlo visto sono tornato a casa e ho detto a mia madre che avrei voluto fare il regista. Poi le cose sono evolute in maniera diversa e sono diventato direttore della fotografia, però questo è stato comunque il film che mi ha fatto decidere di intraprendere questa carriera cinematografica”

“The first time I saw it I was in Praia, where I used to go in holiday with my parents. It was the summer of 1999, I was 15 and the movie was only for 16+, but I managed to get in with an older friend, lying about my age. It’s the movie that changed my life: after seeing it, when I came back home, I told my mother that I wanted to be a director. Than my life evolved in a different way and I became director of photography, but this was the movie that made me decide to pursue my career in cinema”
