“When Magnolia came out I was nine and my parents took me to see it at the cinema. I remember not understanding anything, in my family we remember it as ‘the film where frogs start raining at midnight’! Even though I was bored and didn’t understand it, I could tell it was something special, something different. As I grew up I became passionate about Paul Thomas Anderson, I even wrote a thesis about him and I now have a podcast about cinema named after this film”
