“I chose Cleo from 5 to 7 (Cléo de 5 à 7) as the opening of my film festival, Visionaer. Every year we pay tribute to a female director, and last year we chose Agnès Varda, the mother of the Nouvelle Vague. This is her second film and it follows Cleo through the streets of Paris during two hours of her life. When I watched it, I felt like I could have kept watching her life for twenty thousand more hours! I love the natural and immersive way Agnès manages to let us enter the life of her protagonist, it really moved me”

“Ho scelto Cleo dalle 5 alle 7 come apertura del mio festival cinematografico, Visionaer: ogni anno abbiamo un omaggio a una regista e l’anno scorso abbiamo scelto Agnès Varda, la madre della Nouvelle Vague. Questo è il suo secondo film e segue Cleo per le strade di Parigi per due ore della sua vita: quando l’ho visto sarei rimasta a guardare la sua vita per altre ventimila ore! Amo il modo naturale e avvolgente in cui Agnès riesce a farci entrare nella vita della sua protagonista, mi ha molto colpito”
