“I chose Jules and Jim (Jules et Jim) because I really love François Truffaut, he’s the director who made me fall in love with cinema. Just like Jules and Jim, I was struck by Jeanne Moreau, I’m truly in love with her in this film. Basically it’s a film that breaks the rules, where there isn’t a winner or a loser. Everyone suffers and rejoices in the same way. Later I also read the book, and it’s incredible how Truffaut managed to preserve its poetry and atmosphere”
