“La protagonista è una donna che cerca di affermare la propria identità, una donna forte, come tutti i personaggi femminili scritti da De Filippo (il film è tratto da uno spettacolo teatrale e il teatro è un’altra mia grande passione). È una storia molto avvincente, perché è una donna che cerca se stessa ma soprattutto cerca il suo posto nel mondo. L’ho visto per la prima volta quando avevo 16 anni, ero insieme a mia madre e almeno una volta all’anno me lo rivedo con lei. Alcune frasi sono lezioni di vita, ad esempio: “Si piange quando si conosce il bene e non lo si può avere”, io e mia madre ce lo ripetiamo spesso”

“The protagonist is a woman that tries to affirm her identity, a strong woman, like all the female characters written by De Filippo (the movie is based on a play and theater is my another great passion). It’s a very engaging story, it’s about a woman that searches for herself but mainly she searches for her place in the world. I saw it for the first time when I was 16, I was with my mother and every year I rewatch it with her. Some quotes are life lessons, for example: “We cry when we know the good and cannot have it”, my mother and I often repeat that”
