“The protagonist is a woman trying to affirm her identity, a strong woman, like all the female characters written by Eduardo De Filippo, since Marriage Italian Style is based on a stage play and theater is another great passion of mine. It’s a very engaging story because she’s a woman searching for herself, but above all for her place in the world. I first saw it when I was sixteen, I was with my mother, and at least once a year I watch it again with her. Some lines are real life lessons, for example: ‘You cry when you recognize goodness and can’t have it’. My mother and I often repeat that to each other”

“La protagonista è una donna che cerca di affermare la propria identità, una donna forte, come tutti i personaggi femminili scritti da De Filippo, visto che Matrimonio all’Italiana è tratto da uno spettacolo teatrale e il teatro è un’altra mia grande passione. È una storia molto avvincente, perché è una donna che cerca se stessa ma soprattutto cerca il suo posto nel mondo. L’ho visto per la prima volta quando avevo sedici anni, ero insieme a mia madre e almeno una volta all’anno me lo rivedo con lei. Alcune frasi sono lezioni di vita, ad esempio: ‘Si piange quando si conosce il bene e non lo si può avere’, io e mia madre ce lo ripetiamo spesso”
