“Reservoir Dogs is my favorite film, also because of the way it plays with the audience. At the time it was presented as a heist movie, while in reality there’s no action, it’s mainly a work built on the screenplay. Quentin Tarantino gave authority to a certain kind of cinema. There’s blood, sure, but it’s mainly focused on character development and the script, which for me is the most important thing when I watch a film. The first time I saw it I was seven years old and I asked my father if we could go rob a bank. Now I understand that wasn’t exactly a convenient idea!”

“Le Iene è il mio film preferito, anche per come prende in giro lo spettatore. Ai tempi veniva presentato come un film su una rapina, mentre in realtà non c’è azione, è soprattutto un lavoro sulla sceneggiatura. Tarantino ha dato autorevolezza a un certo tipo di cinema: c’è anche sangue, certo, ma è soprattutto incentrato sulla caratterizzazione dei personaggi e sulla sceneggiatura, che per me è la cosa più importante quando vedo un film. La prima volta che l’ho visto avevo 7 anni e ho chiesto a mio padre di andare a fare una rapina: adesso ho capito che non era una cosa molto conveniente!”
