“I chose this film by Abdellatif Kechiche because it’s the first film I studied. I really like this filmmaker because he’s from my region, and I even wrote my thesis about him. The Secret of the Grain (La Graine et le Mulet) reminds me of my university years, which were very happy years for me, a beautiful period. It’s the story of a man who does everything he can to get by, a very Mediterranean story, a story about family and about people helping each other. Maybe it’s not my favorite film, but it’s a very important one for me”

“Ho scelto Cous Cous di Kechiche perché è il primo film sul quale ho studiato. Mi piace molto questo autore perché è della mia regione, ho anche fatto la mia tesi su di lui. Questo film mi ricorda gli anni dell’università che per me sono stati anni molto felici, un periodo bellissimo. È la storia di un uomo che fa di tutto per cavarsela, una storia molto mediterranea, una storia di famiglia, di persone che si aiutano, forse non è il mio film preferito ma è un film molto importante per me”
