“I chose the first film of the trilogy, Before Sunrise, but for me all three are equally important. Growing up, Richard Linklater’s trilogy feels as if it has accompanied my life. I saw this film in 2004, and as the years go by these characters reflect you, also because there has been a film every decade. Often when you watch a film it brings you back to a version of yourself that no longer exists, it takes you back in time, but growing together with the films is something that can really shake you, it makes you feel understood. In these films you recognize yourself in relationship dynamics that go beyond love. After watching it I went to Vienna to look for the places from the film. It was the first film tourism experience of my life!”

“Ho scelto il primo film della trilogia, Prima dell’Alba, ma per me sono tutti e tre ugualmente importanti. Crescendo, la trilogia di Linklater è un po’ come se avesse accompagnato la mia vita. Ho visto questo film nel 2004 e andando avanti negli anni questi personaggi ti rispecchiano, anche perché c’è stato un film ogni decade. Spesso quando guardi un film, ti riporta a una te che non è più in quel modo, ti riporta indietro nel tempo, invece crescere insieme ai film è qualcosa che un po’ ti sconvolge, ti fa sentire compresa. In questi film ti ritrovi nelle dinamiche di coppia che vanno anche oltre l’amore. Dopo averlo visto sono andata a Vienna a cercare i luoghi del film, è stato il primo cine-turismo della mia vita!”
