It touches on three themes that are very important to me: love, the passage of time, and absence. The film uses these themes as a key to enter human emotions, and it does so gently, through looks and what is left unsaid. The passing of time, especially, is something that truly fascinates me for many reasons”

“Il Segreto dei suoi Occhi è un viaggio profondo dentro l’animo umano, dentro le passioni che viviamo. Tocca tre temi a cui tengo particolarmente: l’amore, il tempo che passa e l’assenza. Il film usa questi temi come chiavistello per entrare dentro l’emotività umana e lo fa delicatamente, attraverso gli sguardi, il non detto. Lo scorrere del tempo soprattutto è un argomento che davvero mi appassiona per diversi motivi”
