“I absolutely love Gena Rowlands, she’s truly iconic. In Gloria there’s this particularly grumpy woman, the ex of a mobster, who falls in love with a child. It’s basically a love story. Of course I didn’t identify with the character, but Gena Rowlands’ performance really left a mark on me, and it also introduced me to the cinema of John Cassavetes. I also have a giant poster of this film folded up in a box because I don’t know where to put it, it’s really huge”

In Gloria – Una Notte d’Estate c’è questa donna particolarmente scontrosa, ex di un mafioso, che si innamora di un bambino: è praticamente una storia d’amore. Certamente non mi sono identificata nel personaggio, ma l’interpretazione di Gena Rowland mi ha segnato, oltre ad avermi introdotto al cinema di Cassavetes. Ho anche un poster gigante di questo film piegato in una scatola perché non so dove metterlo, è davvero enorme”
