“Gotham is a metropolis that immediately triggers a sense of loneliness, but being alone also means focusing more on the search for your own path. I like the madness, the uniqueness, the fragility, the anger, the idea of not having to hide your weaknesses. And when he puts on the Joker mask, he becomes an actor, which reflects a lot of my own dedication to acting. When I watched Joker, I felt a sense of redemption, and I think that for me too the time has come to get what I deserve. I lost my mother when I was 17, and later a friend in an accident. I’ve been through some difficult moments. Despite that, I remain cheerful and smiling, and I like the Joker because he also always has this smile painted on his face. I’m tired of social rules and judgments. If we could put ourselves in other people’s shoes more often, there would be more love, more empathy, and less pain”

“Gotham è una metropoli che innesca subito un senso di solitudine, ma restare soli significa anche concentrarsi di più nella ricerca della propria strada. Mi piace la follia, l’unicità, la fragilità, la rabbia, il non dover nascondere le proprie debolezze e poi lui, quando mette la maschera del Joker, diventa un attore e questo rispecchia molto quella che è la mia dedizione per la recitazione. Quando ho visto Joker ho provato un senso di riscatto e penso che anche per me sia arrivato il momento di ottenere quello che merito: ho perso mia mamma quando avevo 17 anni e poi un amico in un incidente, ho passato dei momenti difficili, nonostante ciò resto solare e sorridente e il Joker mi piace perché anche lui ha sempre questo sorriso stampato sul volto. Mi sono stufato delle regole sociali, dei giudizi, se riuscissimo a metterci di più nei panni degli altri ci sarebbe più amore, più empatia e meno dolore”
