“The Lake House moved me deeply, especially the second time I watched it. It tells the impossible love story between two people living in different times, who meet through a beautiful house by a lake. I’m very drawn to their epistolary relationship, a connection built on waiting, unfolding around a mailbox. Living something like that, stepping outside the ordinary flow of life, meeting someone capable of making me feel an emotion beyond the everyday, feels almost like a dream to me. I miss the beauty of being able to share something so intense and extraordinary, something that exists outside daily routine. Throughout the film I felt a kind of distance from that type of emotion, as if I were missing that sort of emotional upheaval to complete the range of experiences life can offer. Maybe I should try going to a house by a lake!”

“La Casa sul Lago del Tempo mi ha emozionato molto, soprattutto la seconda volta che l’ho visto. Racconta la storia impossibile tra due persone che vivono in due tempi diversi e si incontrano in una stupenda casa su un lago. Sono molto attratto dal loro rapporto epistolare, un rapporto fatto di attese, che si svolge attorno a una cassetta della posta. Vivere una cosa del genere, uscire dalla normalità della vita, incontrare qualcuno che mi faccia provare un’emozione fuori dall’ordinario lo vivo un po’ come un sogno, mi manca la bellezza di poter condividere qualcosa di così grande al di fuori della quotidianità. Per tutto il film ho provato come una sensazione di distacco rispetto a quel tipo di emozione, come se mi mancasse quel genere di turbamento per completare il quadro di esperienze che si possono provare nella vita. Forse dovrei provare ad andare in una casa su un lago!”
