“Coppola is a genius. I have a special preference for The Godfather Part II, even though I also deeply love the first one. I think it’s a perfect film, especially because of the parallel editing between Michael Corleone and the original Godfather, a stylistic choice that is used several times throughout the movie. Beyond its technical brilliance, the Little Italy portrayed in the film had a particular charm, where not everything we see is positive, but it undeniably has something fascinating about it. I have a special memory connected to one time I watched it at home, up in the attic, with a couple of cigars, a peaty whisky, and the Dolby Surround system enhancing the soundtrack: I absolutely loved the experience”

“Coppola è un genio. Ho una predilezione per Il Padrino Parte II, amo molto anche il primo. Credo che sia un film perfetto, mi piace soprattutto il montaggio parallelo che viene fatto tra Michael Corleone e il padrino originario, una soluzione stilistica utilizzata diverse volte. Al di là della bellezza tecnica, la Little Italy mostrata nel film aveva un fascino particolare, dove non tutto quello che vediamo è positivo, ma sicuramente ha qualcosa di attraente. Ho un ricordo speciale di una volta in cui lo vidi a casa, in mansarda, con un paio di sigari, un whisky torbato e il dolby surrond che esaltava la colonna sonora: l’ho apprezzato alla grande”
