“John Carpenter has been incredibly important in my life. Being a woman who is passionate about his films has often made me feel a little out of place, but also unique, in a good way. The uniqueness of his work, and of Prince of Darkness in particular, somehow reflects the sense of distinctiveness that, at least in the way I like to think of myself, has always been part of who I am. Even in Carpenter’s most serious films, there’s an underlying sense of irony that I really connect with. This film is a perfect example, especially in the way it playfully pokes fun at the Church”

L’unicità dei suoi film e in particolare di Il Signore del Male per me rappresenta in qualche modo l’unicità che, per come mi piace pensare, mi ha sempre caratterizzato.
