Rocky is left-handed, and he realises that if he wants to beat Apollo, he also has to learn to fight right-handed. The film also teaches you to listen to advice from people who have more experience than you, especially when you’re young and think you know everything. And finally, it’s also a great love story. I believe that to succeed in life, you need to surround yourself with people who love you, believe in you and tell you ‘Win!’. Those words can give you the energy you need to defeat even the world champion. Like everyone in my generation, I’ve also been forced to change direction because the world has changed. “Ciò che più amo di Rocky II è che ci mostra che nella vita c’è sempre una seconda possibilità. Per raggiungerla però devi essere disposto a cambiare: Rocky è mancino e capisce che se vuole battere Apollo deve boxare anche di destro, inoltre ti insegna ad accettare i consigli di chi è più esperto di te, soprattutto quando sei giovane e pensi di sapere tutto. Infine è anche una grande storia d’amore: io penso che per riuscire nella vita bisogna circondarsi di persone che ti vogliono bene, che credono in te e ti dicono “Vinci!”. Quelle parole possono darti l’energia per sconfiggere anche il campione del mondo. Anche io, come tutta la mia generazione, sono stato costretto a cambiare strada, perché il mondo è cambiato, ed è stato un percorso pieno di difficoltà, adattamenti, sconfitte, ma anche di vittorie.
